So true!!

Empathy is a paradox.

Even i sometimes put myself in someone else’s shoes and think about their circumstances and situations.

That allows us to see the world in a completely different way.

You’re right. The world we see is gray without any shades of black and white.

As always, a super impactful and striking read. ♥️✨

An amazing and very insightful read Janu!! I felt every word of this piece 🥹 it’s hard being empathetic at the end of the day as you don’t want others to walk all over you but you want to understand them too yk?

I found my soul in this piece. The way you put words to the way I think is so profound.

I appreciate the explanation, as I am someone who tries to understand everyone too. I know there’s a reason for everything a person does, and I guess over the years I’ve found common stories and patterns that create certain characteristics. Not through judgement, but through understanding one’s thought process or values. Values. Yes, values. We all have different kinds of values, sometimes that overlap and sometimes they don’t. The values can be brought up in stories, I think that why I love stories. We get to share our values through them. It’s communication.

I connected with all the words written here. It was like I met my match. Like I found a mirror. I thank you so much for that Janu 🪞
